We were fortunate to have our Maui sunset family session with Frank. We're a CA family group of 11. We had a 1 1/2 year old that didn't cry once ;) Frank gave great directions and kept the session moving along. He also willingly accommodated a few photo pose requests the older kids had. The entire experience was just memorable. I can't express how grateful I was that we chose Frank Bernasek Photography. He was kind, fun and was able to get smiles out of everyone! We can't wait to see the final pics. I took a few from my phone just to share the beautiful scenery. 5 stars are not enough. If you're searching for a photography session... choose Frank 🌺 💯

I took my first ever vacation to Maui with my main girl's! My mom, my daughter, and my daughter in law! I wanted to have photos done while there as this was a very special trip for me. I found and loved Frank & Lisa's photos I saw online so I booked an hour.Wow! They exceeded my expectations by miles! We have the BEST time at the shoot. We were blessed with an abundance of amazing photos too! Frank made it very fun and easy. He even allowed time for us to change outfits too. The turn around on the photos was fast! I am in love with them all! Hardest part is choosing which ones will go on my wall! I'd use them all if I could! Thank you Frank for such awesome photos and a great experience! Thank you Lisa for coordinating and helping change the date when you noticed weather setting in. Your care was appreciated. We will be back! God bless you both! Thank you.

Thank you so much, Frank, for the most amazing photo session! My husband and I were celebrating our first wedding anniversary in Maui, visiting for the first time, and we wanted to capture the memories of our special trip. We couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out! Every picture was absolutely breathtaking, and the quality was incredible. The turnaround time for receiving our photos was also so quick, which we truly appreciated! Frank made us feel comfortable from the very beginning, and the great conversation in between shots made the entire experience fun, natural, and never awkward. You can tell he truly loves what he does and takes pride in his work. We are beyond pleased with our experience and will absolutely recommend Frank to anyone looking for beautiful photos and an unforgettable experience. Thank you for helping us capture such special memories that we will cherish forever! We’ll see you next year for our second wedding Anniversary in Maui! We can’t wait to work with you again! 🌺💍❤️

Lisa helped plan out my proposal, very nice and helpful!
Aloha! We are Frank and Lisa, a husband and wife team of professional Maui photographers based in Lahaina. With a passion for storytelling and a deep love for this island, we specialize in family portraits, engagement sessions, couples photography, surprise proposals, and intimate weddings — all set against Maui's most breathtaking beaches and landscapes. Our relaxed, fun approach means you'll actually enjoy your photo session, and walk away with images you'll treasure forever.
Perfect for couples, small families, or a quick vacation keepsake. In 30 minutes, we'll capture stunning portraits at one of Maui's most beautiful beach locations. You'll leave with a full gallery of professionally edited photos — no stuffy posing, just genuine moments. The Aloha Package is our most popular family photography session — a relaxed, 30-minute shoot at one of our favourite beach locations in Lahaina, Kapalua and all of Maui perfect for families of up to 8. No stiff poses, no one shouting "say cheese." Just your family, a beautiful Maui beach, and Frank or Lisa guiding you through it all with plenty of laughs along the way. Whether you're on a family vacation, a multigenerational trip, or just want to capture this season of life on the most beautiful island in the world, this session is designed to be the highlight of your trip — not a chore. You'll walk away with 50–60 professionally edited images and a 4K downloadable slideshow, ready to share with everyone back home. Perfect for: families with young kids, multigenerational groups, vacation portraits, and anyone visiting Maui who wants more than just phone snapshots.
Our most popular session for families visiting Maui. One full hour gives us time to explore the beach, capture group shots, individual portraits, and all the candid in-between moments that make your photos feel real. Perfect for families of 8 to 12. This is our go-to session for medium-sized families and multigenerational groups who want more than just a quick snapshot. A full hour means we can cover the whole group together, smaller family units, the kids on their own, grandparents with grandkids — all the combinations that matter — without anyone feeling rushed. Frank and Lisa are experts at managing bigger groups and keeping the energy fun and relaxed throughout. They know exactly how to position everyone for the best light, how to get natural smiles out of even the most camera-shy family members, and how to move efficiently so you get maximum variety from your session. You'll receive 80–100 professionally edited images and a 4K downloadable slideshow delivered to an online gallery, ready to download and share with the whole family. Perfect for: multigenerational families, larger family groups of 8–12, family reunions, and milestone vacations in Maui.
Our Ohana Package is designed for large groups of 13 to 20. We'll spend 90 minutes capturing everyone — from the grandparents to the littlest ones — across multiple setups so nobody gets left out of the frame. If you're bringing 13 to 20 people to Maui, this is the session that does your group justice. At 90 minutes, you have plenty of time to capture the full group, every family unit within it, the grandparents, the cousins, the kids on their own — all the combinations that make a big family trip worth remembering. Frank and Lisa have extensive experience photographing large extended families and groups on Maui's beaches. They know how to move a big group efficiently, keep the energy fun (not chaotic), and still find the quiet, genuine moments that make a photo gallery truly special. You'll receive 100–130 professionally edited images and a 4K downloadable slideshow — more than enough to share with every branch of the family tree. Perfect for: extended family reunions, multigenerational vacations, large family milestones, and any group of 13 to 20 visiting Maui who wants professional photos to remember the trip by.
Ready to pop the question in paradise? Our Maui proposal photography package is designed to make your moment as magical — and perfectly captured — as possible. Choose from two options: a classic beach proposal where one of us hides nearby to document the entire surprise as it unfolds, or our stunning flower heart centerpiece setup, where we source fresh local blooms and arrange a romantic floral display on the beach before you arrive. After the big moment, we stick around for candid and posed portraits together to celebrate. Your partner will never suspect a thing — and you'll have breathtaking photos of the moment they said yes, forever.
Whether you're honeymooning, celebrating an anniversary, or just want gorgeous photos together on the most beautiful island in the world — this session is for you. Our Maui couples photography session is 30 minutes of pure fun at one of our favorite beach locations in Lahaina. No awkward posing, just the two of you enjoying the moment while we work around you capturing the real thing: a laugh, a look, a quiet moment with the ocean behind you. You'll walk away with a full gallery of professionally edited images that actually look like you — and feel like Maui.
Say "I do" on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world — with everything taken care of for you. Frank and Lisa handle the photography, the beach permit, and help you navigate the marriage license process — so you can focus entirely on each other. Choose from stunning beach locations across Maui, including Wailea, Lahaina, and Kapalua. Whether you're planning an intimate elopement with just the two of you, or a small celebration with close family and friends, we tailor every detail to your vision.
